Styled by Marina - Effortlessly Edgy Outfit Idea for Spring 2017. #OOTD
Ever had one of those mornings (or afternoon, if you are a night owl. I don't discriminate.) when you are set to be somewhere or have an appointment with your friends yet you are too exhausted to get up and get ready? yep, that's basically me every day. I'm literally guilty for being late in every possible occasion, ever. Not to sound so melodramatic but I just couldn't bring myself to fight the inevitable morning fatigue. The 6 or 7 hours of sleep simply doesn't invigorate me and I still haven't fully recovered from yesterday's ordeal that is work.
Between rolling out of bed, getting ready and actually stepping out of the door takes time. I happen to be one of those girls that like to present the best version of myself whether going to work or just hanging out. The process of getting ready indulges me and I enjoy it a lot. But let's face it, sometimes we simply don't have the time for it. Most of the time our weekday morning is consists of a mental struggle to get out of bed, rushing to get our makeup done and choosing what to wear for the day. Ah, yes! Here come the big question and our daily struggle. We all encounter those days when we just can't seem to find a decent set of an outfit and the result of wearing something that we are not satisfied with would usually lead to us going through the day with little confidence and just generally feeling weird and on edge the whole day. Call me overreacting but it does happen to some of us.
I've had a hectic week and was not planning on posting another blog on fashion and style. But the sudden urge of writing came to me unexpectedly while I was watching the new Netflix show Thirteen Reasons Why (So good and so worth watching!). I figure why not write a quick blog on the outfit I wore and loved so much last week?
Spring is upon us and today I'd like to show you how to save a little time in choosing what to wear and still look on point and edgy.
I will list the outfits I wore in the pictures down below including where I got them from:
Greyish blue velvet dress shirt: C Yard
Belt: Vii&Co
Beret: Vii&co
Fishnet ankle socks: ASOS
Ankle Boots: H&M
Jumpsuits, overalls, suits, and dresses are perfect for spring. These are the type of outfits that you can just throw it on and be out of the door in like, ten minutes. The secret to these one-piece outfits is that they already created 90% of the look for you and all that is left for you to do is accessorize or simply add a little twist to your look to make it edgier...or not if you are in a hurry, lol. Another thing that I like about one-piece or set outfits is that they are usually designed with the most comfortable fabrics that will keep you feeling super breezy and comfy so you won't have to endure the sweaty and uncomfortable feeling caused by wearing skinny jeans or denim pants.
Alright, that pretty much sums up my blog post for the day. It would make me really happy if this blog has somehow inspired you and makes you wanna try something different, or just give you some new ideas on what your 2017 spring style is going to be :) Please do look forward to my next blog post, I promise I will have something LA travel related up soon!
