London Calling. #MarinaTravels

It's fair to say that I was blessed to caught London on a sunshine day. It was a fine June afternoon, warm but breezy, the street was crowded with people. I hopped off a double-decker bus, didn't even mind the occasional dust in my eyes when I was crossing the Westminster Bridge. The panoramic view of Westminster Palace and Big Ben is stunning enough to make you never want to leave this city. It's like looking into one of those intricate snow globes you would get as presents on Christmas Days. And you can't help but feel a little overwhelmed and if it's even possible...star-struck by the city of London.

The Obligatory Red Telephone Booth Photo

Well, you can't blame a girl for wanting one of those aesthetic pictures with the ever-so-famous red telephone booths. They have sort of becoming symbolic, a representation of the city, like the double-decker buses that roam through London. If you step in any souvenir shops on Oxford Street, there are countless key chains, miniature figures or ornaments of the London red telephone booth.

However, nowadays I have noticed that some of the red telephone booths in London are out of function and left in a state of abandonment almost. You can easily spot litter and beer cans scattered in the telephone booths. Nevertheless, visitors from all over the world still flock to London, and when they spot a red telephone booth while taking a stroll down the city street, their face still light up with excitement and want a photo with one of the most iconic symbols of the city.

Just Hanging out with my man Ben 

England's national symbol Big Ben, also now officially known as Elizabeth Tower, is another must see when you are spending your day in central London and the Westminster area. The clock tower is so beautiful and unreal looking on a sunny, beautiful day. The clear blue sky is the perfect backdrop for this royal and majestic looking Gothic clock tower.

You can grab a cup of coffee, enjoy the area if the weather permits it. Take a walk around the Westminster Palace and I highly recommend crossing the Westminster Bridge to the Southbank. You will be able to witness the perfect, picturesque view of the Westminster Palace and Big Ben. If you catch the natural lighting at the right time, seize the moment to take a few photos of yourself with the Westminster Palace from the Southbank, it will look straight out of a postcard, you won't regret it!

The Victoria Tower Gardens

The Victoria Tower Gardens is - as the name suggested, is a green space adjacent to the Victoria Tower, and is another epic location if you want to chill and admire the magnificent Palace of Westminster at the same time. You would be able to catch an idyllic view of the Palace of Westminster, Buxton Memorial Fountain and Victoria Tower at the same time.

I Spy With My Little Eye: London Eye

If you like taking good, aesthetically-pleasing travel photos like I do, then I can't stress enough how important it is to find the perfect day with the perfect weather to go out and explore London while taking epic pics for your Instagram or blog. Instead of paying to go up the London Eye ride, I went for the London Eye Cruise to see the entire city from River Thames. In my opinion, it is much worth it, and you got to see a lot more of the city. Not only can you see and photograph almost all the famous landmarks from different views, the commentator on the cruise would tell you the history of the architectures and landmarks as you pass through them, and you also got to cruise through River Thames which is pretty cool!

The British Museum

The absolute ideal place to spend your entire day. If you happen to be a museum fanatic and has an immense interest in world's history and culture. You have got to pay a visit to the British Museum. Located in the Bloomsbury area of London, The British Museum is dedicated to human history, art and culture.

Originally established in 1753, the museum holds approximately 8 million objects in the collection. It has a total of around 10 different departments, from the Department of ancient Egypt and Sudan, Department of Middle East to the Department of Greece and Rome to name a few. The museum entry is free but they accept donations, so you don't have to pay a large amount of money to go inside. The British Museum is probably the most incredible museum I've visited by far, to see the ancient antiquities and archaeological discoveries unfold in front of you is simply beyond imagination.
