Having it out with Melancholy.

Imagination trumps reality,
For sometimes,
It seems like the world is beyond salvage.
Bury myself in literature and beat poetry.
At least in words, I was given the comfort I could never find in my own family.
Along with Jazz and soft grunge which are much better companies.

Who are they trying to save for heaven's sake?
Between Prejudice, judgments, deception and a whole lot of debauchery.
There isn't much left in humanity.
We loved fiercely, cared vigorously til there's nothing left in us.
We use each other up and drain the last spirits we've got.
It was then I saw the truth.

Teary-eyes and sorrow hearts,
how do you mend something beyond fixing?
I was so sure before society made me doubt.
I was fine before they put me in a box.
I was doing so well.

Melancholy girls,
Rise above it all.
Should the world is a series of losses,
Should you think all hope is gone and nothing more could be done,
Should you find life bears much resemblance to a ludicrous greek tragedy.

Walk away,
We all have a choice, a choice to exit.
To not go along and play parts in these unfortunate events.

To renew and rewrite your story.
a clean slate, a fresh new blank space.
At times, departures mean unexpected beginnings.
To close the old wounds, however messed-up and hurt.
Embrace the unfamiliar terrain.
For it was an end of a decade-long struggle,
But the start of a new era.
