A Day in Pattaya, Thailand
I prefer to look at this world through a vintage camera.
Breathing in the blue sky and aquamarine waters.
Breathing in the blue sky and aquamarine waters.
I walk lazily on the streets of Pattaya on a late August day.
The promenade is filled with people in casual shorts and beachwear.
It was liberating in a way when no one is rushing off to anywhere anytime soon.
It was tranquil, it was relaxing and sane.
I tend to find peace near the ocean, and in old photos, films and books.

Why do I reminisce about the good old days, you ask?
Perhaps it's because of my curiosity and the need to learn about the past.
The past so beautifully told only through music, art, and literature.
In the past, you find less commercialism and more storytelling.
The people dressed in finery in the 20s,
With feathers in our hair and jewels around our necks.
And it was a time when courtesy and manners mattered.

And it was a time when courtesy and manners mattered.
The music is better in the 1960s,
They sang about the darkness being an old friend,
and the name Jude became famous than ever.
The 70s was all about individuality,
There seems to be no rules and kids were basked in freedom. liberty and excitement.

The 70s was all about individuality,
There seems to be no rules and kids were basked in freedom. liberty and excitement.
And then came the 80s and the golden age of rock and roll,
It made a rebel out of us all.
I am a 90s kid that is fortunate enough to have all these cultures and history to live off of.
Anyone that says we shouldn't live in the past, I object.
Why can't we lived in the glory days of the past, let it inspire us?
Seize the present movement and make the most of it while looking forward to the future?
So I am sending a postcard to you from 1965,
And I'd like to ask you which era inspires you the most?

I tend to live in the past, too - why not, when it's so inspiring to look back? There's nothing wrong with it, as long as we enjoy the present as well. Love these beautiful photos from Thailand!
