Bangkok was full of electrifying shades of colors,
a bustling city with foreign tourists and backpackers.
Tuk Tuks and pink taxi cabs roam the streets.
It's another metropolis that does not seem to ever sleep.
Glad I'm one of those who is able to seek peace in chaos.
I was not looking for a slumber.

So down the river, we go,
On a boat, with my bestie into the unknown.
The true purpose is to replenish my soul,
Toss out the negativity, pour in the light and wellness.

I tried my very best.
To look at the bright side of things,
to invite the positivity and possibility in,
However hard it was for me to do so.

Indeed I discovered the beautiful little things along my journey,
The quirky American style bar and restaurant I visited,
Where I devoured Fajitas with Eye of the Tiger playing in the background.

Waking up in an all-white fluffy hotel bed,
being a bit too excited about the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet.

Feel the fierce, bright sunshine burning against my skin,
Witnessing the incredible buddha temples and architectures.
The mosaic illuminates and gleams so brilliantly under the sun.

On a boat, gliding through the historical floating water market like an elegant swan.
Tasting the local food, having amusing conversations with the kind salesmen.

And then there were the midnight taxi rides,
we laughed without a care in the world, in the pouring rain.

The night ends with us in a 1920s prohibition themed rooftop bar,
Starring into the night sky, looking down at the starry city lights.

I was happy, and content.

Cities like Bangkok makes me feel alive, inspires me to write,
And brings out the artist in me.
